The Home Remedies Story...
Home Remedies was born shortly after our first child. Unfortunately, our son's health struggles started early in life and after several courses of antibiotics he was diagnosed with having a gallstone at only ten months old. What followed was regular hospital visits and sleepless nights.
The only means of preventing the regular gall bladder attacks that caused our son so much discomfort and vomiting was a limited and meticulously managed diet, avoiding any fat consumption. Although this proved to be an effective way of avoiding the attacks, it caused our son to have severe constipation and poor digestion.
Pooing was very painful and anxiety inducing for him and this would lead to stool withholding. It became a vicious cycle as the more you withhold, the harder it becomes to LET GO! Eventually our prayers were answered and he passed the gallstone but continued to suffer with constipation.
The doctors prescribed daily laxatives with minimal monitoring and we became concerned with how harsh these were on his developing body.
